From the everyday life of the Botanical Cabinet of the Imperial Kazan University in the early 20th century

As a structure of the Imperial Kazan University, the Botanical Cabinet began its development in the second decade of the 19th century. K.F. Fuchs, E.I. Eichwald, P.Ya. KornukhTrotsky, N.V. Sorokin, and other naturalists played an active role in this process. This article is devoted to the attempts to diversify both the instrumentation and the herbarium collection of the Botanical Cabinet, undertaken by K.S. Merezhkovsky in the early 20th century. The data presented may be of interest to botanists and museologists, as well as anyone interested in the history of natural science.
